Today we are hearing from a guest blogger! I met Lauren when I did her second child's newborn session. Soon after she started creating beautiful dainty bows and after my first purchase I knew I wanted her style to be the main bow in my photography studio. Our brands match well and so do our lifestyles, fellow momma of three over here! So let's hear from her and yall go visit her shop after you read this.
Hello! I’m Lauren Layson, the face behind The Dainty Bow Shoppe. I have a pretty sweet family in which I adore. I’m married to my best friend, Taylor and we have 2 daughters, Rosalie (3 yrs) and Violet (1.5 yrs). We’ll be welcoming our 3rd child into our wild gang this summer!
After having my first little girl, we decided I would stay home with her. This was by far the best decision I’ve ever made! I love everything about motherhood! Not just the beautiful moments, but the trying or the seemingly uneventful ones.
Having little girls while also being a lover of the arts, I seemingly fell right into this “niche”. I’m encompassed with all things girly so my business just seems to flow with this season of life I’m in. I hand make classic style fabric bows, photography props and flower/greenery crowns for newborns to adults. Many of my crowns are crafted from real, dried flowers. My customers can always expect heirloom quality pieces which can be treasured and passed down. I find genuine joy seeing the things I create on your beautiful children, in your family photos or worn on your wedding day.
You can find most of my pieces in the hands of local photographers in this Owensboro, KY. I’m deeply appreciative of Melanie Hodskins and a few other crazy talented local photographers who’ve been with me from the beginning! These ladies have not only encouraged me, but support and actively facilitate growth in my business. There is something beautiful about local mothers and small business owners supporting one another. If you’re interested in shopping with me, you can find me on ETSY, Facebook and Instagram. I love and welcome custom requests. -Lauren
