One Year Photo Session/ The Carlisle Family

Confession time, I really, really love photographing red heads. When Rachel first contacted me for their newborn session, she mentioned that her and her husband both had red hair, so they were both wishing their son was born with red hair too, and guess what? He was! Just look at how beautiful this family is.

His newborn session was a dream and when Rachel contacted me to schedule his one year session, I was like, didn't we just do his newborn yesterday? I think we all feel that way, these babes grow up so quickly. Now I understand the saying "don't blink twice."

She had a vision for his one-year session, simple, clean, and to resemble the newborn so we could compare how much he had grown and to make those baby blues pop. So that is exactly what we did, I used a blue outfit for a portion of his session and then went with some neutral shorts and no top for that natural feel. He sure was a joy to work with too. He told me some animal sounds he knew, he showed me how he can stand if he holds onto something, he even showed me how to blow kisses. He brought so much personality to his session!

If you notice in the newborn session we laid him down in the white bed, and he fit perfectly from head to toe. In the one-year session we documented just how much he had grown from that newborn pose and could now use the bed as a seat. He still fit all snuggled up in the tan crib and we even got the same above angle. This gallery is adorable! The simplicity of the one year session will never go out of style and these images will always look good on their walls.

We also were able to shoot a sweet little surprise at this session for the family portait portion. I am so thrilled and excited to document their growing family! Y'all be on the lookout for the next adorable red-headed Carlisle baby.
